महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-36, verse-25

निपतन्ति तथा भूमौ स्फुरन्ति च सहस्रशः ।

25. Similarly, thousands of them fall to the ground and twitch. Others in battle made swift movements, like writhing snakes.
