The King indeed rejoiced upon seeing the great cart-formation (śakaṭa), which had been arranged with numerous chariots, men, horses, foot-soldiers, and elephants, and possessed a terrifying roar, a wondrous appearance, and was capable of piercing the hearts of enemies.
