महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-63, verse-24

एवमेतं महाव्यूहं व्यूह्य द्रोणो व्यवस्थितः ।
सूचीमुखे महेष्वासः कृतवर्मा व्यवस्थितः ॥२४॥
24. evametaṁ mahāvyūhaṁ vyūhya droṇo vyavasthitaḥ ,
sūcīmukhe maheṣvāsaḥ kṛtavarmā vyavasthitaḥ.
24. evam etam mahāvyūham vyūhya droṇaḥ vyavasthitaḥ
sūcīmukhe maheṣvāsaḥ kṛtavarmā vyavasthitaḥ
24. evam droṇaḥ etam mahāvyūham vyūhya vyavasthitaḥ.

24. Having arranged this great formation in this manner, Droṇa was positioned. At the very front of the needle (sūcī) array, Kṛtavarmā, the great archer, was stationed.
