षष्टिं वर्षसहस्राणि षष्टिमेव शतानि च ।
आदित्यतापतप्तास्ते विशन्ति शशिमण्डलम् ॥३१॥

ādityatāpataptāste viśanti śaśimaṇḍalam.

31. For sixty thousand and sixty hundred years, they, scorched by the sun's (āditya) heat, enter the lunar sphere (śaśimaṇḍala).
