महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-53, verse-21

नराश्वकायैः पतितैर्दन्तिभिश्च महाहवे ।
अगम्यरूपा पृथिवी मांसशोणितकर्दमा ॥२१॥

21. In the great battle (mahāhava), the earth (pṛthivī), covered with the fallen bodies of men, horses, and elephants, became impassable (agamyarūpā), with mud made of flesh and blood.
