महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-82, verse-25

तस्मिन्ग्रामे प्रधानास्तु य आसन्ब्राह्मणा नृप ।
आर्याः कुलीना ह्रीमन्तो ब्राह्मीं वृत्तिमनुष्ठिताः ॥२५॥
25. tasmingrāme pradhānāstu ya āsanbrāhmaṇā nṛpa ,
āryāḥ kulīnā hrīmanto brāhmīṁ vṛttimanuṣṭhitāḥ.
25. tasmin grāme pradhānāḥ tu ye āsan brāhmaṇāḥ nṛpa
āryāḥ kulīnāḥ hrīmantaḥ brāhmīm vṛttim anuṣṭhitāḥ
25. O king, the prominent brahmins who lived in that village were noble, well-born, modest, and dedicated to the brahminical way of life.
