महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-60, verse-19

यदि ह्येते समर्थाः स्युर्मद्द्विषस्त्रातुमोजसा ।
न स्म त्रयोदश समाः पार्था दुःखमवाप्नुयुः ॥१९॥
19. yadi hyete samarthāḥ syurmaddviṣastrātumojasā ,
na sma trayodaśa samāḥ pārthā duḥkhamavāpnuyuḥ.
19. yadi hi ete samarthāḥ syuḥ mat-dviṣaḥ trātum ojasā
na sma trayodaśa samāḥ pārthāḥ duḥkham avāpnuyuḥ
19. If indeed these (gods) were truly capable of protecting those whom I hate, by their might, then the sons of Pṛthā (Pārthas) would certainly not have suffered for thirteen years.
