महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-175, verse-26

प्रत्याचख्यौ च शाल्वोऽपि चारित्रस्याभिशङ्कितः ।
सेयं तपोवनं प्राप्ता तापस्येऽभिरता भृशम् ॥२६॥
26. pratyācakhyau ca śālvo'pi cāritrasyābhiśaṅkitaḥ ,
seyaṁ tapovanaṁ prāptā tāpasye'bhiratā bhṛśam.
26. pratyācakhyau ca śālvaḥ api cāritrasya abhiśaṅkitaḥ
sā iyam tapovanam prāptā tāpasyai abhiratā bhṛśam
26. śālvaḥ ca api cāritrasya abhiśaṅkitaḥ pratyācakhyau.
sā iyam tapovanam prāptā bhṛśam tāpasyai abhiratā
26. But Salva also rejected her, being suspicious of her character. And so, she, having reached a penance grove (tapovana), became intensely devoted to asceticism (tāpasya).
