महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-8, verse-2

वासश्च परिधायैकं कृष्णं सुमलिनं महत् ।
कृत्वा वेषं च सैरन्ध्र्याः कृष्णा व्यचरदार्तवत् ॥२॥
2. vāsaśca paridhāyaikaṁ kṛṣṇaṁ sumalinaṁ mahat ,
kṛtvā veṣaṁ ca sairandhryāḥ kṛṣṇā vyacaradārtavat.
2. vāsaḥ ca paridhāya ekam kṛṣṇam sumalinam mahat
kṛtvā veṣam ca sairandhryāḥ kṛṣṇā vyacarat ārtavat
2. And having put on a single large, black, very dirty garment, Kṛṣṇā (Draupadi), having assumed the disguise of a hair-dresser (sairandhrī), wandered about like one distressed.
