महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-19, verse-8

दैवेन किल यस्यार्थः सुनीतोऽपि विपद्यते ।
दैवस्य चागमे यत्नस्तेन कार्यो विजानता ॥८॥
8. daivena kila yasyārthaḥ sunīto'pi vipadyate ,
daivasya cāgame yatnastena kāryo vijānatā.
8. daivena kila yasya arthaḥ sunītaḥ api vipadyate
| daivasya ca āgame yatnaḥ tena kāryaḥ vijānatā
8. Indeed, when one's objective (artha), even if well-managed, fails due to destiny (daiva), then a discerning person should exert effort for the opportune arrival of destiny (daiva).
