महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-88, verse-23

उष्णतोयवहा गङ्गा शीततोयवहापरा ।
सुवर्णसिकता राजन्विशालां बदरीमनु ॥२३॥
23. uṣṇatoyavahā gaṅgā śītatoyavahāparā ,
suvarṇasikatā rājanviśālāṁ badarīmanu.

23. O King, there is a Gaṅgā stream carrying warm water, and another [river] carrying cold water. Its sands are golden, [flowing] along the expansive Badarī region.
