महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-36, verse-9

हैरण्यौ भवतो बाहू श्रुतिर्भवति पार्थिव ।
हत्वा द्विषन्तं संग्रामे भुक्त्वा बाह्वर्जितं वसु ॥९॥
9. hairaṇyau bhavato bāhū śrutirbhavati pārthiva ,
hatvā dviṣantaṁ saṁgrāme bhuktvā bāhvarjitaṁ vasu.
9. hairaṇyau bhavataḥ bāhū śrutiḥ bhavati pārthiva |
hatvā dviṣantam saṅgrāme bhuktvā bāhvarjitam vasu
9. O King (pārthiva), [your] arms become golden; it is taught by tradition (śruti) that one should enjoy wealth (vasu) acquired by one's arms after having slain enemies in battle.
