महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-194, verse-9

प्रभवः सर्वभूतानां शाश्वतः पुरुषोऽव्ययः ।
सुष्वाप भगवान्विष्णुरप्शय्यामेक एव ह ।
नागस्य भोगे महति शेषस्यामिततेजसः ॥९॥
9. prabhavaḥ sarvabhūtānāṁ śāśvataḥ puruṣo'vyayaḥ ,
suṣvāpa bhagavānviṣṇurapśayyāmeka eva ha ,
nāgasya bhoge mahati śeṣasyāmitatejasaḥ.

9. The eternal, imperishable supreme cosmic person (puruṣa), the source of all beings, Lord Viṣṇu (bhagavān viṣṇu), slept alone on a bed of water (apśayyā), upon the vast body of the serpent Śeṣa, who possesses immeasurable splendor.
