महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-194, verse-1

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
स एवमुक्तो राजर्षिरुत्तङ्केनापराजितः ।
उत्तङ्कं कौरवश्रेष्ठ कृताञ्जलिरथाब्रवीत् ॥१॥
1. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca ,
sa evamukto rājarṣiruttaṅkenāparājitaḥ ,
uttaṅkaṁ kauravaśreṣṭha kṛtāñjalirathābravīt.
1. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca sa evam uktaḥ rājarṣiḥ uttaṅkena
aparājitaḥ uttaṅkam kauravaśreṣṭha kṛtāñjaliḥ atha abravīt
1. Mārkaṇḍeya said: 'O best of the Kurus, that royal sage, who was undefeated, being thus addressed by Uttanka, then spoke to Uttanka with folded hands.'
