महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-194, verse-20

आवां वरय देव त्वं वरदौ स्वः सुरोत्तम ।
दातारौ स्वो वरं तुभ्यं तद्ब्रवीह्यविचारयन् ॥२०॥
20. āvāṁ varaya deva tvaṁ varadau svaḥ surottama ,
dātārau svo varaṁ tubhyaṁ tadbravīhyavicārayan.
20. āvām varaya deva tvam varadau svaḥ surottama
dātārau svaḥ varam tubhyam tat bravīhi avicārayan
20. O Lord, you should ask us (for a boon), O best of gods, for we two are givers of boons. We are indeed grantors of a boon to you; therefore, declare your wish without hesitation.
