महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-148, verse-25

संस्कृतं पायसं नित्यं यवागूं कृसरं हविः ।
अष्टकाः पितृदैवत्या वृद्धानामभिपूजनम् ॥२५॥
25. saṁskṛtaṁ pāyasaṁ nityaṁ yavāgūṁ kṛsaraṁ haviḥ ,
aṣṭakāḥ pitṛdaivatyā vṛddhānāmabhipūjanam.
