महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-148, verse-30

यथा वार्धुषिको वृद्धिं देहभेदे प्रतीक्षते ।
धर्मेणापिहितं पापं धर्ममेवाभिवर्धयेत् ॥३०॥
30. yathā vārdhuṣiko vṛddhiṁ dehabhede pratīkṣate ,
dharmeṇāpihitaṁ pāpaṁ dharmamevābhivardhayet.

30. Just as a usurer anticipates interest even after the debtor's death, so too, sin concealed by adherence to (natural) law (dharma) would only cause that (natural) law (dharma) itself to grow more powerful.
