चण्डाल प्रतिजानीहि येन मोक्षमवाप्स्यसि ।
ब्राह्मणार्थे त्यजन्प्राणान्गतिमिष्टामवाप्स्यसि ॥२६॥

caṇḍāla pratijānīhi yena mokṣamavāpsyasi ,

The kshatriya said: "O outcaste, make a vow by which you will attain liberation (mokṣa). By abandoning your life for the sake of a brahmin, you will achieve the desired state."
