Happiness (sukha) leads to sorrow (duḥkha). Laziness (ālasyam) is itself sorrow (duḥkha), while skill (dākṣyam) brings forth happiness (sukhodayam). Prosperity (bhūti), wealth (śrī), modesty (hrī), fortitude (dhṛti), and success (siddhi) certainly do not dwell in an unskillful person (adakṣa).
