महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-205, verse-18

तस्मात्सम्यक्परीक्षेत दोषानज्ञानसंभवान् ।
अज्ञानप्रभवं नित्यमहंकारं परित्यजेत् ॥१८॥
18. tasmātsamyakparīkṣeta doṣānajñānasaṁbhavān ,
ajñānaprabhavaṁ nityamahaṁkāraṁ parityajet.

18. Therefore, one should properly examine the faults born of ignorance. One should always abandon the ego (ahaṅkāra) that arises from ignorance.
