Having seen Arjuna ("the one with white horses") chosen by Draupadī, King Duryodhana, along with his brothers, Aśvatthāmā, his maternal uncle (Śakuni), Karṇa, and Kṛpa, turned back. Then Duḥśāsana, feeling ashamed, spoke to him (Duryodhana) very slowly.
