महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-124, verse-23

केचिच्छराक्षेपभयाच्छिरांस्यवननामिरे ।
मनुजा धृष्टमपरे वीक्षां चक्रुः सविस्मयाः ॥२३॥
23. keciccharākṣepabhayācchirāṁsyavananāmire ,
manujā dhṛṣṭamapare vīkṣāṁ cakruḥ savismayāḥ.

manujāḥ dhṛṣṭam apare vīkṣām cakruḥ savismayāḥ
23. Some individuals, out of fear of the incoming arrows, bowed their heads. Others, however, observed boldly and with astonishment.
