यथा येन विकल्पेन यद्विकल्पेन कथ्यते ।
तथा तेनात्मकल्पेन नगताऽप्यनुभूयते ॥ ३ ॥

Just as something is spoken of by whichever mental projection (vikalpa) it is conceived, so too is it experienced by one's own mental projection (ātman), even if it has not (actually) manifested.
