सर्वासामेव मातॄणामष्टावेतास्तु नायिकाः ।
आसामनुगतास्त्वन्यास्तासामनुगताः पराः ॥ २१ ॥

āsāmanugatāstvanyāstāsāmanugatāḥ parāḥ 21

21. sarvāsām eva mātṝṇām aṣṭau etāḥ tu nāyikāḥ
āsām anugatāḥ tu anyāḥ tāsām anugatāḥ parāḥ

21. Indeed, these eight are the principal leaders among all the mothers. Some others follow these (eight), and yet other (mothers) follow those (first set of followers).
