The battle, with its terrifying and fiercely intense roars and the sky splitting with crackling sounds, became like the end of a cosmic destruction (kalpakṣaya). This occurred as they showered each other with weapons, rocks, mountains, and trees, and as their hard bodies, massive as Mount Meru, ground against one another.
