योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-28, verse-18

सुरासुराद्रीन्द्रशरीरमुक्तै रक्तप्रवाहैरभितो भ्रमद्भिः ।
बभार पूर्णं परितोऽम्बरोऽद्रेः संध्याकरौघक्षतमङ्ग गङ्गाम् ॥ १८ ॥

18. Indeed, the sky, completely filled, then bore the sight of the Gaṅgā, which was stained red as if wounded by the multitude of evening rays, (a sight created) by the streams of blood released from the bodies of the gods and demons, who were like mighty mountains, swirling all around the mountain.
