योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-25, verse-24

ततो दशगुणेनाथ पातालतलगामिना ।
निखातवलयेनोच्चैः श्वभ्रसंभाररूपिणा ॥ २४ ॥
tato daśaguṇenātha pātālatalagāminā ,
nikhātavalayenoccaiḥ śvabhrasaṃbhārarūpiṇā 24

24. And then, from that (preceding layer), there is a trench (or ring) ten times the extent (of the previous), which descends to the bottom of the netherworlds (pātāla), profoundly deep, and appears as a vast collection of chasms.
