वाल्मीकि-रामायणम् vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-17, verse-22

म मैवमिति सा कन्या तमुवाच निशाचरम् ।
मूर्धजेषु च तां रक्षः कराग्रेण परामृशत् ॥२२॥

22. That maiden said to the night-wanderer (niśācara), "No, by no means!" And the demon then seized her by the hair with the tip of his hand.
