tataḥ girisaṃnikāśaḥ hanūmān kṛtāñjaliḥ tām vṛddhām abhivādya papraccha tvam kā? bhavanam bilam ca imāni ratnāni ca kasya (santi)? vadasva.

Then Hanumān, mighty like a mountain, offered salutations to that old woman with joined palms. He asked, 'Who are you? And whose is this dwelling, this cave, and these jewels? Please tell us.'
