वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-58, verse-5

पदशब्दं तु मे श्रुत्वा मुनिर्वाक्यमभाषत ।
किं चिरायसि मे पुत्र पानीयं क्षिप्रमानय ॥५॥
5. padaśabdaṃ tu me śrutvā munirvākyamabhāṣata ,
kiṃ cirāyasi me putra pānīyaṃ kṣipramānaya.
5. pada-śabdam tu me śrutvā muniḥ vākyam abhāṣata
kim cirāyasi me putra pānīyam kṣipram ānaya
5. tu me pada-śabdam śrutvā muniḥ vākyam abhāṣata
"me putra kim cirāyasi? kṣipram pānīyam ānaya"
5. Having heard my footsteps, the sage then spoke these words: 'My son, why are you delaying? Bring water quickly!'
