वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-58, verse-49

चक्षुषा त्वां न पश्यामि स्मृतिर्मम विलुप्यते ।
दूता वैवस्वतस्यैते कौसल्ये त्वरयन्ति माम् ॥४९॥
49. cakṣuṣā tvāṃ na paśyāmi smṛtirmama vilupyate ,
dūtā vaivasvatasyaite kausalye tvarayanti mām.
49. cakṣuṣā tvām na paśyāmi smṛtiḥ mama vilupyate
dūtāḥ vaivasvatasya ete kausalye tvarayanti mām
49. kausalye (aham) cakṣuṣā tvām na paśyāmi mama smṛtiḥ
vilupyate ete vaivasvatasya dūtāḥ mām tvarayanti
49. O Kausalya, I cannot see you with my eyes, and my memory (smṛti) is fading. These messengers of Yama (Vaivasvata) are rushing me away.
