वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-3, verse-32

ते चापि पौरा नृपतेर्वचस्तच्छ्रुत्वा तदा लाभमिवेष्टमाप्य ।
नरेन्द्रमामन्त्य गृहाणि गत्वा देवान् समानर्चुरतीव हृष्टाः ॥३२॥
32. te cāpi paurā nṛpatervacastacchrutvā tadā lābhamiveṣṭamāpya ,
narendramāmantya gṛhāṇi gatvā devān samānarcuratīva hṛṣṭāḥ.
32. te ca api paurāḥ nṛpateḥ vacaḥ
tat śrutvā tadā lābham iva iṣṭam
āpya narendram āmantya gṛhāṇi
gatvā devān samānarcuḥ atīva hṛṣṭāḥ
32. te paurāḥ api nṛpateḥ tat vacaḥ
śrutvā tadā iṣṭam lābham iva
āpya narendram āmantya gṛhāṇi
gatvā atīva hṛṣṭāḥ devān samānarcuḥ
32. And those citizens, having heard that decree from the king, and thus having obtained their cherished wish as if it were a great treasure, took leave of the king, went to their homes, and, exceedingly delighted, worshipped the gods.
