बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-74, verse-23

तदाद्यन्तर्दशास्तद्वन्मासादौ तद्बलैः फलम् ।
तं तं भावं प्रकल्प्याङ्कं तत्तत्तन्वादिजं द्विज ॥२३॥
23. tadādyantardaśāstadvanmāsādau tadbalaiḥ phalam .
taṃ taṃ bhāvaṃ prakalpyāṅkaṃ tattattanvādijaṃ dvija.
23. tad-ādi-antardaśāḥ tadvat māsa-ādau tad-balaiḥ phalam |
tam tam bhāvam prakalpya aṅkam tat-tat-tanu-ādi-jam dvija
23. O twice-born (dvija), similarly, one should calculate the sub-periods (antardaśā) starting from the main period, from the beginning of the months. The results (phalam) are determined by the strengths of those (planets). Having specifically considered each house (bhāva) and performed a calculation (aṅka), one should determine that which originates from the respective ascendant (lagna) and so on.
