बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-72, verse-8

लग्नं फलाधिकं यस्य भोगवानर्थवान् हि सः ।
विपरीतेन दारिद्र्यं भवत्येव न संशयः ॥८॥
8. lagnaṃ phalādhikaṃ yasya bhogavānarthavān hi saḥ .
viparītena dāridryaṃ bhavatyeva na saṃśayaḥ.

| viparītena dāridryaṃ bhavati eva na saṃśayaḥ
8. Indeed, a person whose ascendant (lagna) is strong and productive of good results will be one who enjoys pleasures and possesses wealth. Conversely, if the ascendant is weak, poverty will certainly occur; there is no doubt about this.
