A person will suffer from consumption (kṣayarogatā) in the twenty-sixth year when the lord of the ascendant (lagna) is situated in the house of loss (12th house). Additionally, this condition also arises when the lord of the twelfth house is in the house of disease (6th house), and the lord of that house of disease (6th) is situated in the house of loss (12th house).
