मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-62, verse-18

ततः स दध्यौ सुचिरं तमर्थं कौतुकात् कलिः ।
ज्ञातवांश्च प्रभावेण समाधेः स यथातथम् ॥१८॥
18. tataḥ sa dadhyau suciraṃ tamarthaṃ kautukāt kaliḥ .
jñātavāṃśca prabhāveṇa samādheḥ sa yathātatham.
18. tataḥ sa dadhyau suciraṃ tam artham kautukāt kaliḥ
jñātavān ca prabhāveṇa samādheḥ sa yathātatham
18. Then, Kali, out of curiosity, pondered that matter for a long time. And by the power of his deep contemplation (samādhi), he accurately understood it as it truly was.
