रुद्रस्त्वं देव नाम्नासि मा रोदीर्धैर्यमावह ।
एवमुक्तस्ततः सोऽथ सप्तकृत्वो रुरोद ह ॥५॥

5. rudrastvaṃ deva nāmnāsi mā rodīrdhairyamāvaha .

O god, you are Rudra (the crier) by name. Do not cry; be courageous. Thus spoken to, he then indeed cried seven times.
