मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-52, verse-30

पितरो ब्रह्मणा सृष्टा ये व्याख्याता मया तव ।
अग्निष्वात्ता बर्हिषदोऽनग्नयः साग्नयश्च ये ॥३०॥
30. pitaro brahmaṇā sṛṣṭā ye vyākhyātā mayā tava .
agniṣvāttā barhiṣado'nagnayaḥ sāgnayaśca ye.
30. pitaraḥ brahmaṇā sṛṣṭāḥ ye vyākhyātāḥ mayā tava
agniṣvāttāḥ barhiṣadaḥ anagnayaḥ sāgnayaḥ ca ye
30. The forefathers (pitaraḥ) who were created by Brahmā, and whom I have described to you – namely, the Agniṣvāttas, the Barhiṣadas, those who did not maintain sacred fires, and those who did.
