मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-52, verse-23

पूर्वजन्मनि सोऽगस्त्यः स्मृतः स्वायम्भुवेऽन्तरे ।
कर्दमश्चार्ववीरश्च सहिष्णुश्च सुतत्रयम् ॥२३॥
23. pūrvajanmani so'gastyaḥ smṛtaḥ svāyambhuve'ntare .

23. pūrvajanmani saḥ agastyaḥ smṛtaḥ svāyambhuve antare
kardamaḥ ca cārvavīraḥ ca sahiṣṇuḥ ca sutatrayam
23. In a previous birth, he (Datta) was known as Agastya during the Svāyambhuva Manvantara. Kardama, Cārvavīra, and Sahiṣṇu were the three sons.
