किं रोदिषीति तं ब्रह्मा रुदन्तं प्रत्युवाच ह ।
नाम देहीति तं सोऽथ प्रत्युवाच जगत्पतिम् ॥४॥

4. kiṃ rodiṣīti taṃ brahmā rudantaṃ pratyuvāca ha .

Brahmā asked the crying boy, 'Why do you cry?' He (the boy) then replied to the Lord of the world (jagatpati), 'Give me a name.'
