मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-52, verse-13

हिमवद्दुहिता साभून्मेनायां द्विजसत्तम ।
तस्या भ्राता तु मैनाकः सखाम्भोधेरनुत्तमः ॥१३॥
13. himavadduhitā sābhūnmenāyāṃ dvijasattama .
tasyā bhrātā tu mainākaḥ sakhāmbhodheranuttamaḥ.
13. himavadduhitā sā abhūt menāyām dvijasattama tasyāḥ
bhrātā tu mainākaḥ sakhā ambhodheḥ anuttamaḥ
13. O best among the twice-born (dvijasattama), she was born as Himavat's daughter to Menā. Her brother, Maināka, was an unsurpassed friend of the ocean.
