मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-52, verse-16

धाताविधात्रोस्ते भार्ये तयोर्जातौ सुतावुभौ ।
प्राणश्चैव मृकण्डुश्च पिता मम महायशाः ॥१६॥
16. dhātāvidhātroste bhārye tayorjātau sutāvubhau .
prāṇaścaiva mṛkaṇḍuśca pitā mama mahāyaśāḥ.
16. dhātāvidhātroḥ te bhārye tayoḥ jātau sutau ubhau
prāṇaḥ ca eva mṛkaṇḍuḥ ca pitā mama mahāyaśāḥ
16. Āyāti and Niyati (from the previous verse) were the two wives of Dhātā and Vidhātā. From those two (couples), both sons, Prāṇa and Mṛkaṇḍu, were born. My glorious father is Mṛkaṇḍu.
