आपो नारा वै तनव इत्यपां नाम शुश्रुम ।
तासु शेते स यस्माच्च तेन नारायणः स्मृतः ॥५॥

5. āpo nārā vai tanava ityapāṃ nāma śuśruma .
tāsu śete sa yasmācca tena nārāyaṇaḥ smṛtaḥ.

Indeed, `nārā` refers to the waters, which are verily his bodies; thus, we have heard this name for the waters. And because he rests in them, he is therefore remembered as Nārāyaṇa.
