तिर्यक्स्त्रोतस्तु यः प्रोक्तस्तिर्यग्योन्यः स पञ्चमः ॥३३॥

33. mukhyaḥ sargaścaturthastu mukhyā vai sthāvarāḥ smṛtāḥ .

33.
The fourth creation is the principal one; indeed, the principal beings are remembered as the immovables (plants). The one described as having a horizontal life-flow, belonging to the animal realm, is the fifth.
