याश्चैनं नाभिनन्दन्ति स्वयंवरकृतक्षणाः ।
ताश्चापि स बलाद्वीरो जग्राह नृपतेः सुतः ॥१८॥

18. yāścainaṃ nābhinandanti svayaṃvarakṛtakṣaṇāḥ .

And even those [women] who, though present at the self-choice marriage ceremony (svayaṃvara) to make their choice, did not approve of him, the heroic son of the king seized them by force.
