चकार तेजसा भानोर्भासुराण्यरिशान्तये ।
इति शातिततेजाः स शुशुभे नातितेजसा ॥५॥

5. cakāra tejasā bhānorbhāsurāṇyariśāntaye .
iti śātitatejāḥ sa śuśubhe nātitejasā.

5. cakāra tejasā bhānoḥ bhāsurāṇi ariśāntaye
iti śātitatejāḥ sa śuśubhe na atitejasā

5. He fashioned these, radiant (bhāsurāṇi), from the Sun's (bhānu's) radiance (tejas) for the pacification of enemies (ariśāntaye). Thus, with his splendor having been shorn (śātitatejas), he (the Sun) shone, but not with excessive brilliance (atitejas).
