मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-105, verse-15

द्वितीयश्च यमः शापाद्धर्मदृष्टिरनुग्रहात् ।
यमस्तु तेन शापेन भृशं पीडितमानसः ॥१५॥
15. dvitīyaśca yamaḥ śāpāddharmadṛṣṭiranugrahāt .
yamastu tena śāpena bhṛśaṃ pīḍitamānasaḥ.
15. dvitīyaḥ ca yamaḥ śāpāt dharma-dṛṣṭiḥ anugrahāt
| yamaḥ tu tena śāpena bhṛśam pīḍita-mānasaḥ
15. The second son was Yama, who gained an understanding of natural law (dharma-dṛṣṭi) due to a curse and by grace. But Yama was greatly tormented in mind by that curse.
