मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-105, verse-16

धर्मोऽभिरोचते यस्माद्धर्मराजस्ततः स्मृतः ।
कृमयो मांसमादाय पादतस्ते महीतलम् ॥१६॥
16. dharmo'bhirocate yasmāddharmarājastataḥ smṛtaḥ .
kṛmayo māṃsamādāya pādataste mahītalam.
16. dharmaḥ abhirochate yasmāt dharma-rājaḥ tataḥ
smṛtaḥ | kṛmayaḥ māṃsam ādāya pādataḥ te mahītalam
16. Because natural law (dharma) was pleasing to him, he is remembered as Dharmarāja (King of natural law). (Due to the curse) worms, taking flesh from his feet, fell to the ground.
