मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-105, verse-2

शातितैस्तेजसो भागैर्दर्शभिः पञ्चभिस्तथा ।
अतीवकान्तिमच्चारु भानोरासीत्तदा वपुः ॥२॥
2. śātitaistejaso bhāgairdarśabhiḥ pañcabhistathā .
atīvakāntimaccāru bhānorāsīttadā vapuḥ.
2. śātitaiḥ tejasaḥ bhāgaiḥ daśabhiḥ pañcabhiḥ
tathā atīvakāntimat cāru bhānoḥ āsīt tadā vapuḥ
2. Then, after ten and five parts of its radiance (tejas) were shorn off, the Sun's (bhānu's) body (vapuḥ) became exceedingly beautiful and brilliant.
