संज्ञां भार्यां प्रीतिमतीं भास्करो वारितस्करः ।
ततः पूर्वसुतो योऽस्याः सोऽभूद्वैवस्वतो मनुः ॥१४॥

14. saṃjñāṃ bhāryāṃ prītimatīṃ bhāskaro vāritaskaraḥ .
tataḥ pūrvasuto yo'syāḥ so'bhūdvaivasvato manuḥ.

14. saṃjñām bhāryām prītimatīm bhāskaraḥ vāritaskaraḥ |
tataḥ pūrvasutaḥ yaḥ asyāḥ saḥ abhūt vaivasvataḥ manuḥ

14. The sun god (Bhāskara), who draws up water (vāritaskaraḥ), had a loving wife named Saṃjñā. From her, his elder son was born, who became Vaivasvata Manu.
